PLAYWRITING 101 

This is the perfect class to learn the basics of the craft of playwriting.  You will be encouraged to share your work with fellow classmates while honing your skills on the subjects of theme, plot and the development of dramatic tension. 

Taught by David W. Christner. Mr. Christner is an award-winning playwright.  His plays have been produced in the U.S., Germany, Japan, Australia, Belgium and Canada.

PERFORMANCE ANXIETY 

Who hasn’t had performance anxiety?  For those who experience a range of discomfort from nagging self-doubt to a blank brain to outright panic, this class will offer two approaches to these common problems. One is the use of tools that effectively reduce anxiety while increasing alertness and pleasure.  The other is a psychodynamic body- centered approach, using talk and touch to bring the body and mind back into harmony, its natural state.  Open to actors and singers of all levels of experience.  

Taught by Linda Thomas, MSW, psychotherapist, director, actor and singer.  Linda has 20 years clinical experience in helping others overcome panic and anxiety.  She trained in Bio-Energetics, Gestalt Therapy, and the Rubenfeld Synergy Method. She holds a degree from Smith and completed her internship at Yale School of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry. Linda has a private practice in Wickford.
